Yancey Strickler

Yancey Strickler is an author and entrepreneur. He’s the cofounder of Kickstarter, cofounder of the artist resource The Creative Independent, founder of The Bento Society, and the author of This Could Be Our Future: A Manifesto for a More Generous World. He began his career as a music critic in New York City, writing for Pitchfork, Spin, and The Village Voice. He's a Distinguished Fellow at the Drucker Institute, one of Fast Company’s Most Creative People, and he started the record label eMusic Selects. He grew up on a farm in Clover Hollow, Virginia, and lives with his family in Vancouver.
