Sigrid Nunez
Author of eight novels: A Feather on the Breath of God, Naked Sleeper, Mitz: The Marmoset of Bloomsbury, For Rouenna, The Last of Her Kind, Salvation City, The Friend, and What Are You Going Through. She is also the author of Sempre Susan: A Memoir of Susan Sontag. The Friend won the 2018 National Book Award and was a finalist for the 2020 DUBLIN Literary Award. Her other honors and awards include a Whiting Writer’s Award, a Berlin Prize Fellowship, the Rome Prize in Literature, and a Guggenheim Fellowship. She has been a contributor to The New York Times, The New York Times Book Review, The New York Review of Books, The Threepenny Review, and Harper’s Magazine, among others. Nunez is a member of the American Çï¿ûÊÓƵ of Arts and Letters. Her work has been translated into thirty languages. She lives in New York City.
