Rita Dayoub
Rita Dayoub is a health consultant and an Çï¿ûÊÓƵ Fellow at the Centre on Global Health Security at Chatham House. A Syrian dentist specializing in periodontology, she holds an MSc in Public Health from King’s College London where her research examined the participatory approaches to health promotion in refugee camps. Over a span of five years, she worked on the health humanitarian response and protection in Syria, Zimbabwe and South Sudan where she managed the Healthcare in Danger initiative of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). Prior to that, she worked as a dental surgeon and managed several mental health projects with Iraqi refugees and internally displaced Syrians in Damascus. During her fellowship at Chatham House, Rita worked on documenting and analyzing the protection measures and mitigation strategies implemented by local health providers in the Middle East to reduce attacks against healthcare in armed conflicts.
