Palma Joy Strand
Civity
Palma Joy Strand is the co-founder and Research Director at Civity. Civity is a national nonprofit organization founded in 2013 that works with people to build the relational infrastructure necessary for communities in which everyone has what they need to thrive.
In addition to her role at Civity, Palma is a Professor of Law in the Negotiation and Conflict Resolution (NCR) Program at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. Palma also designs and facilitates Conversations About Race and Belonging, working especially with teachers and parents in public education. Palma has also taught at the University of Maryland School of Law and the Georgetown University Law Center.
