Özlem Sensoy is Professor of Education and the Director of the Cassidy Centre for Educational Justice in the Faculty of Education at Simon Fraser University, on unceded Coast Salish territories in British Columbia, Canada. Her research interests examine pathways for advancing a more just society through education. She is the author of Is Everyone Really Equal? An Introduction to Key Concepts in Social Justice Education (with Robin DiAngelo, 2nd ed., 2017).
