Mark A. Mitchell is a Senior Member of the George Mason University Center for Climate Change Communication Program on Climate and Health. He is also the Co-Chair of the National Medical Association’s Commission on Environmental Health and Principal of Mitchell Environmental Health Associates, a consulting firm on environmental health and environmental justice issues.
A preventive medicine physician trained in environmental health and health policy, he has worked in the public health sector and with environmental justice communities to prevent and reduce environmentally related diseases and change policies that are detrimental to environmental health.
