World-renowned expert in humane animal handling and a global advocate for autism awareness. Drawing on her prolific animal handling scholarship, her designs are used for handling half the cattle in the U.S. and Canada. She has authored several hundred industry publications, book chapters, and technical papers on animal handling plus 63 refereed journal articles and ten books. She has been invited to speak around the world on her experiences with autism and how having autism has helped her understand the world around her as a visual thinker, enhancing her research and informing her equipment designs.
