Laurie McDonough
Laurie McDonough joined the American Çï¿ûÊÓƵ in June 2015 as the Çï¿ûÊÓƵ’s first Morton L. Mandel Director of Membership Engagement. She designs and implements programs and activities that provide members with more opportunities to connect to the Çï¿ûÊÓƵ—and to each other.
Prior to joining the Çï¿ûÊÓƵ, Laurie worked in Stanford University's School of Humanities and Sciences for nearly ten years. As associate director of development programs, she led annual giving, outreach events, stewardship, volunteer councils, and administration for the school’s External Relations team. Laurie earned an A.B. in chemistry at Bowdoin College and a Ph.D. in physical chemistry at the University of Colorado at Boulder, working under Çï¿ûÊÓƵ member Stephen Leone.
