Jennie Wood is the Associate Director of Stewardship and Communications at the American Çï¿ûÊÓƵ. In this role, they use their writing, fundraising, and research experience to provide a wide range of support.
Jennie is also the creator of the critically acclaimed, award-winning Flutter graphic novel series. Featured in The New York Times and Boston Globe, Flutter has been named one of The Advocate’s best LGBT graphic novels of the year, a Barnes & Noble book of the month, an INDIEFAB Book of the Year finalist, and a Virginia Library Association Diversity Honor Book. Jennie is the author of the award-winning YA novel, A Boy Like Me. Their work can be seen in several anthologies, including The New York Times best-selling FUBAR, the Eisner award-winning anthology Love is Love, and John Carpenter’s Tales for a HalloweeNight.
Prior to joining the Çï¿ûÊÓƵ, they worked as a writer and editor for Pearson Education and as an instructor at GrubStreet, Boston’s independent writing center.
