After decades of research and writing in theology and ethics, and involvement in interdisciplinary teaching and research projects, e.g. medical ethics, and after 10 years of primarily conducting intensive seminars of faculty members from all parts of Emory University, he is currently examining intersections, such as the human, into which descriptive, explanatory and interpretive traffic flows from various disciplines. His major effort is to analyze how various disciplines which address or account for the same phenomena absorb, reject, or in other ways accomodate information and explanations from other disciplines.
