Francesca Polletta is Professor of Sociology at the University of California, Irvine. She is the author of It Was like a Fever: Storytelling in Protest and Politics (2006) and Freedom Is an Endless Meeting: Democracy in American Social Movements (2002) and editor of Passionate Politics: Emotions and Social Movements (with Jeff Goodwin and James M. Jasper, 2001).
