Audrey Osler

Audrey Osler is Professor Emerita of Citizenship and Human Rights Education at the University of Leeds. She is widely known for her research on children’s rights and racial justice, and has worked as an educator in many countries, predominantly in Europe, East Asia, and North America. She has been an advisor to the Council of Europe, UNESCO, and various national governments. Her books include Where Are You From? No, Where Are You Really From? (2023), Human Rights and Schooling: An Ethical Framework for Teaching about Social Justice (2016), and the edited collection Nordic Perspectives on Human Rights Education: Research and Practice for Social Justice (with Beate Goldschmidt-Gjerløw, 2024).
