Anusha Ànand

Anusha Ànand (she/her) received her Master of Arts in Linguistics from the University of South Carolina. She is a South Asian American sociocultural linguist whose academic work has focused on mediatized, stereotypical performances of South Asian “accented” Englishes, as well as the raciolinguistic ideologies undergirding discourses surrounding international students at predominantly white institutions in the United States. Her nonacademic work examines the ideologies of race and gender built into digital voice assistants.
