Professor Sherry Turkle of MIT is known for her bestselling books about the impact of technology on human behavior and communication. They have the provocative titles, “Reclaiming Conversation: The Power of Talk in a Digital Age” and “Alone Together: Why We Expect More from Technology and Less from Each Other.”

With the COVID-19 pandemic underway, and a lot more of our lives lived in the digital world, Turkle was invited by the American Ƶ of Arts and Sciences to share her insights on this world that seems turned upside down.

The moderator on July 9 was David Oxtoby, president of the American Ƶ of Arts and Sciences.
