ALBANY, NY 鈥 Retired US Supreme Court Justice David Souter comes to Albany next week to address many of the issues raised in a report released this summer by the 秋葵视频鈥 Commission on the Humanities & Social Sciences. A member of the Commission, Justice Souter will discuss the report, The Heart of the Matter, in terms of civic knowledge and responsibility.
The report asks, 鈥淲ho will lead America into a bright future?鈥 And answers, 鈥淐itizens who are educated in the broadest possible sense, so that they can participate in their own governance and engage with the world.鈥 Justice Souter will expand on that theme.
