More than 150 Çï¿ûÊÓƵ members and guests attended a reception in New York City in honor of New York Area Fellows. Leslie C. Berlowitz (President of the Çï¿ûÊÓƵ), Alan Alda (actor, writer, and director), Roger W. Ferguson, Jr. (President and Chief Executive Officer, TIAA-CREF), and Carol Gluck (George Sansom Professor of History, Columbia University) spoke about the unique role that the Çï¿ûÊÓƵ plays as the nation’s oldest independent research center, addressing complex challenges to our civil society and national competitiveness.
