CAMBRIDGE, MA | SEPTEMBER 9, 2014 – The Ƶ, an organization born seven years before the Constitution itself, is joining a nation-wide celebration of Constitution Day, Wednesday, September 17, 2014. The American Ƶ, in partnership with the Civics Renewal Network, will present events in Washington, DC at the Knight Conference Center at the Newseum.
A lively discussion on Stewarding America begins at 11a.m., followed at 12:30p.m.by a special luncheon keynote address by newly appointed National Endowment for the Humanities Chairman, .

Following this informative discussion, William “Bro” Adams will address the audience. Adams, who was confirmed as the 10th Chairman of the National Endowment for the Humanities in July 2014, previously served from 2000 to June 2014 as President of Colby College in Waterville, Maine. A committed advocate for liberal arts and humanities education, Adams is also an Army veteran who served as a combat infantry veteran in Vietnam. Adams has always maintained an understanding and commitment to the humanities as essential to education and to civic life.
