Despite still being in recovery from the devastating impact of Hurricane Harvey, the Houston Program Committee convened an audience of 120 Çï¿ûÊÓƵ Members and representatives of the local biosciences community for a symposium on Genomics in Medicine. Panelists shared research on new genomics technologies that are advancing the ability to customize medical care based on a patient's unique genetic makeup. The discussion focused on current and future clinical applications including diagnostic methods, personalized cancer treatments, prevention of neurodegenerative diseases, and more.
