Michael Bennett

Michael Bennett is the director of education programs, AI law and policy at Northeastern University’s Institute for Experiential AI (EAI). He has been a faculty member at Northeastern University School of Law, the School for the Future of Innovation In Society and the Center for Science and Imagination at Arizona State University, the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law and the University of Michigan. Bennett served as commissioner of arts and culture for the city of Tempe, Arizona, as well as a member of the American Bar Association’s Committee on Bioethics and the Law and a board member of Leonardo, the International Society for the Arts, Sciences and Technology. His legal practice and research primarily focus on innovation in the arts and technoscientific fields where he regularly consults with innovators in artistic and technoscientific domains, limited-resource academic and artist-operated institutions, and politically-active celebrities. Bennett graduated from Harvard Law and has a BS in physics and a PhD in philosophy-science, technology and society.
